12 Months of Outings For At-Risk Youth

Opportunity4Kids is happy to announce that we contributed $10,000 to New Pathways for Youth to fulfill the costs of 12 monthly outings for 142 youths in the Phoenix area. New Pathways for Youth provides youth with the resources and interaction they need to have bright and positive futures. They allow youth to have access to create their own communities, have healthy connections, and participate in unique opportunities that are not often open to them. Since its establishment, New Pathways for Youth has worked with more than 7,000 youth and continues to aid around 300-400 youth each year.

New Pathways for Youth specifically gives attention to youth that have experienced high rates of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). This includes different forms of abuse, such as emotional and physical abuse and can also include experiences such as the incarceration of a household member. New Pathways for Youth has a mission to support these youths in order for them to pursue all of their future goals which aligns perfectly with Opportunity4Kids mission to help these same types of youth reach their full potential through extracurriculars.

In response to the struggles that the participants of New Pathways for Youth are facing, the organization requested $10,000 to fulfill the costs of Monthly Outings for 142 youths in the Phoenix area. Monthly Outings like Paint Day, As You Wish Pottery, and Top Golf are opportunities for youth to expand their networks and interact with individuals passionate about being involved in their lives. These events will be highly beneficial and encouraging, providing low-income youth with the community and the confidence they deserve to succeed.
