JS’s Story

JS is an extremely strong and resilient 11-year-old. Unfortunately, JS’s dad passed away unexpectedly in 2013 which forced the family to move in with his grandparents. JS became very attached to his grandparents and had a rough time when him and his mom were finally able to move into their own home. Since then, JS has experienced behavioral issues which have hindered his success in school. JS is now progressing with the help of a behavior coach and therapy and could greatly benefit from structured social interaction over the summer, However, JS’s mother could not afford the program. Opportunity4Kids was happy to help in Sponsoring JS to attend YMCA summer camp!
