JP’s Story

JP is an 8-year old from Chicago who moved here to Arizona with his mother so she can give him a better life. JP and his mother moved to Tucson with his retired grandfather and 11 months later his grandfather passed away. JP was devastated and his mother decided to put JP in swimming lessons to help deal him with the loss of his grandfather and to help him focus on something positive. Eventually JP found a great joy in swimming and took it on for almost 3 years now. JP has big plans to one day to compete in the Olympics. JP wanted to join a swimming team so Opportunity4Kids granted a Scholarship for him to participate on the swimming team.
