This Week’s Winner: Gabriel “Gabe”

We are pleased to announce this week’s winner of the Rob Deer Superstar Award– Gabriel! “Gabe ” is 14 years old and has experienced more challenges than some adults deal with in a lifetime. When Gabe was 3 years old, he was diagnosed with Autism. Then, when Gabe was 7 years old, he was diagnosed with fourth stage Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Gabe has truly learned that struggles develop your strengths; and being strong is when you go through hardships and are determined not to surrender.

What Makes Gabe a Superstar!

Gabe is currently on the honor role in school and after a long hard battle, has been declared cured from cancer. While Gabe has played competitive travel baseball for many years, after fighting cancer and receiving chemotherapy, he has always had to play catch up. With the hard work and dedication of his coach Isaac Hess, at MADE Baseball, Gabe is getting stronger every day and truly competitive with his age group. Gabe looks forward to trying out and playing with his high school baseball team.

It is an amazing honor to recognize Gabe as this week’s Rob Deer Superstar! He shows us all what determination and a good attitude can accomplish. Congratulations and keep shining Gabe- we are rooting for you!
