$10,000 Donation for Distance Learning

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley Bob & Renee Parsons Branch gives children ages 5-18 a safe place to spend time after school and more recently, when schools have been closed due to COVD-19, a resource for distance learning. The majority of members at the Boys & Girls Clubs come from single-parent households living under the federal poverty line. Boys & Girls Clubs focuses on providing after school programming in a fun environment to expand their member’s minds and develop important life skills. They are surrounded by positive role models that they can go to for mentorship and guidance; helping them become our leaders of tomorrow.

GO BIG, OR GO HOME… OR RATHER GO TO THE CLUB!

Today, Opportunity4Kids presented John Patris-Browne, Philanthropy Officer, and a few of the Branch’s Youth with a donation of $10,000!  These funds will directly pay for distance learning at the Club for 167 kids.

Opportunity4Kids has partnered with the Parsons Branch of the Boys & Girls Club in a variety of ways over the last five years, donating more than $45,000 for Scholarships and programs hosted at the Parsons Branch.  It is our honor to be partnered with an amazing organization like The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley and specifically the Bob & Renee Parsons Branch serving the Balsz community and we look forward to continuing to provide opportunities for youth in the community for years to come!
